A Discovery Visit is the perfect way for your child to experience Verbalee before joining.
Instead of simply touring the studio or watching from the sidelines, your child gets to step
inside our immersive world and experience how language learning happens at Verbalee.
Experience Verbalee in action
During the visit, your child will meet one of our Immersion Specialists, explore the studio
and participate in a real immersive activity. Depending on the day and theme, they might visit
our French bakery, shop in our Spanish grocery store, care for an animal in the vet clinic,
create an art project, play a game, experiment, build, pretend or explore one of our rotating
environments.
The language is introduced naturally through what they are doing, seeing and experiencing.
There is no pressure to memorize vocabulary or understand every word.
No language experience is needed
Your child does not need to know the language before coming. Many children will arrive knowing
little or nothing at all, and that is completely fine. Our Immersion Specialists use gestures,
expressions, objects, demonstrations, repetition and context to help children understand without
constantly translating everything into English.
We also never expect a new child to immediately speak. Some children jump right in, while others
prefer to watch and listen first. Both are a normal part of the immersion process.
We get to know your child too
A Discovery Visit also gives us an opportunity to learn more about your child. We can see what
interests them, how they interact with the environment and how comfortable they are with the
immersion experience.
Because children come to Verbalee with different ages, personalities and language abilities,
there is no single way they are expected to participate. Our goal is to meet them where they are
and help them gradually become comfortable in the language.
A chance for parents to discover Verbalee
Parents can also see what makes Verbalee different from a traditional language class. We can
explain our immersion approach, show you how the studio works, answer your questions and help you
determine whether Verbalee is the right fit for your family.
It is not a test. It is an experience.
A Discovery Visit is not an evaluation and it is not about seeing how much your child already
knows. It is simply an invitation to come experience Verbalee.
Come discover the studio. Meet us. Play. Explore. Listen. And experience what happens when a new
language becomes part of your child's world.
